WhatsApp add disappearing messages and dark mode feature in latest app upgrade

WhatsApp is set to add new features to its latest beta version 2.19.275 upgrade.

Users are set to enjoy 'Disappearing Messages and the long-awaited dark mode feature in its latest upgrade for both Android and iOS platforms.

According to GSM Arena, the disappearing message feature is just like the Delete Messages' feature where group admins are able to select a specific duration for messages on the group and once a message crosses the duration, it will be automatically deleted.

The feature is targeted at individual and group messages. However MyNigeria learnt that the feature will be limited to group chats only.

The 'Delete Messages' feature for group chats will make it easy for the admins to manage old messages and chats.

MyNigeria also gathered that the dark mode feature is ready for release and a few users have already tested it.

In addition, iOS users have begun enjoying the hide muted status update, splash screen and app badge improvements associated with the App latest update.

WhatsApp's new splash screen would essentially let users see the WhatsApp logo and the "owned by Facebook" symbol whenever they open the app on their iPhones. This is also available on the Android beta app.
