Ondo backs NPC productivity initiative

Ondo State Government has pledged to support National Productivity Centre to activate productivity initiatives in the state.

The Acting Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, stated this during a courtesy visit by the delegation of the National Productivity Centre to him in Akure, Ondo State recently.

Aiyedatiwa said, “The state will give all the support needed to get the centre established in the state so individuals and enterprises in the state can benefit from all the productivity initiatives and programmes.”

The acting governor mentioned the plans to establish and engage the state in productivity initiatives.

He promised that he would give the centre all the necessary support to establish and carry out productivity initiatives in the state.

The Director-General of National Productivity Centre Dr Nasir Raji-Mustapha, who was represented by Dr Titilola Oshati, shared the vision of the centre with the acting governor.

According to him, the centre is present in all states of the federation to extend its programmes and services of everyone.

Oshati said, “The young people in the state will benefit from productivity coaching and mentoring. Private and public organisations will also benefit from capacity building, consultancy, productivity, and quality improvement programme for improved productivity and performance.”

Meanwhile, Oshati requested the support of the state in the establishment of the state office of the centre, organise the public sector officers for statewide productivity enhancement and effective service delivery training and nominate state- and privately-owned enterprises to benefit from the centre’s productivity and quality improvement programme.
