Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey has acknowledged the strength of Manchester City star man Erling Haaland following Fulham's thrilling 5–4 loss to Pep Guardiola's side in the Premier League.
Bassey was involved in several physical duels with the Norwegian international at Craven Cottage on Tuesday night, in a game which saw Haaland score his 100th Premier League goal in just 111 matches, becoming the fastest player to reach this magnificent feat.
In a fan interaction via the microblogging app Snapchat, one fan hailed Bassey, saying, “Bro, you just showed me Haaland isn’t that strong.”
However, the former Ajax defender quickly denied this claim, responding, “Omo, that guy is too strong, I swear.”
Haaland opened the scoring in the thrilling 5–4 victory for Man City away at Fulham on Tuesday.
Super Eagles duo Alex Iwobi and Samuel Chukwueze were both on the scoresheet for Marco Silva's team, with the latter netting a brace after coming off the bench in the second half.
