A superb hit from Victor Osimhen ended Napoli's 33 years wait for the Scudetto title as the Serie A leaders finally wrapped up their campaign to confirm their status as the new Italian champions.

Osimhen scored from the rebound in the 52nd minute to cancel out Sandi Lovric's first-half strike for Udinese.

The game ended in a 1-1 draw much to the delight of the Naples-based club who needed just a point to be crowned champions.

It was Osimhen's 22nd Serie A goal of the season in 27 appearances.

The Super Eagles striker has also equalled George Weah's record as the African player with the most Serie A goals (46).

Napoli last won the Scudetto title during the days of Diego Armando Maradona in the 1899/1990 season.

Luciano Spalletti's side wrapped up the league with five matches to spare.
