Head Coach of the Super Eagles Jose Peseiro believes he has a good squad at his disposal ahead of Nigeria's clash against Guinea-Bissau in the Nations Cup qualifiers.

The Portuguese gaffer however believes there are certain aspects of the game the Super Eagles need some adjustment.

Speaking ahead of Friday's clash against the Djurtus, the former Sporting Lisbon manager pointed out that the team needs to improve in the offensive and defensive positions as well as in set pieces.

The 62-year-old also added that the three-time African champions need to improve in their performance against big teams.

“What I can tell you is we have a good team; we have good players. You can improve a lot because you have enough time, which can be for improving our model, our offensive positions, defensive positions and set pieces.

“We need to take care not to lose against big teams like Ecuador, Algeria and Portugal.

“The Portuguese tactician also expressed his desire to win matches for the Super Eagles while explaining the need for the team to control games in order to remain at the top of African football.”

Jose Peseiro has managed just two wins since taking over the Super Eagles coaching job in May last year.

His only wins came against Sierra Leone and Sao Tome and Principe.

The Super Eagles will take on the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau at the National Stadium in Abuja on Friday, March 24 before jetting out for the return fixture on March 27.
