Pep Guardiola names Osimhen's Napoli as the best team in Europe

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has named Victor Osimhen's Napoli side as the best team in Europe this year.

Tutored by the indefatigable Luciano Spalletti, Napoli has been phenomenal all season both domestically and in Europe.

The Naples-based club are on course to win its first Scudetto title since the days of Diego Maradona in over three decades ago.

The runaway Scudetto leaders are 18 points clear at the top of Serie A with 68 points after 26 games ahead of Inter in second place with 50 points.

Napoli are also inching closer to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League after recording a 2-0 win away at Eintracht Frankfurt in the first leg of the last 16 stage.

Speaking in a post-match interview after Manchester City's 7-0 demolition of RB Leipzig in UCL, the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager named Spalletti's team as the best in Europe in 2023.

Osimhen has been the inspiration behind Napoli's remarkable campaign this season, the 24-year-old Nigerian striker has managed 21 goals in 27 appearances across all competitions for Napoli.
