WATCH: Samuel Eto'o attacks Algerian YouTuber after Brazil vs South Korea clash

Cameroon Football Federation President Samuel Eto'o has been in the news for all the wrong reasons.

The ex-Cameroon captain has been filmed physically assaulting an Algerian content creator following Brazil's 4-1 thrashing of South Korea at Stadium 974 on Monday, December 5.

The ex-Barcelona striker was posing for photographs with fans as he was exiting Stadium 974 when an Algerian YouTuber who has been identified as Sadouni SM came into the picture in possession of a camera.

According to widespread reports, Sadouni accused Eto'o of buying the World Cup ticket for the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.

Eto'o, who was infuriated by the accusation could not hold back his rage as he attacked the Algerian by kicking him in the stomach.

Background

Football lovers may recall that Cameroon beat Algeria 2-1 on March 29 to secure qualification for Qatar 2022.

Algerians accused referee Bakary Gassama of manipulating the results in favour of Cameroon, and many claim Samuel Eto'o used his influence to buy the World Cup ticket for the Indomitable Lions.

This has generated an epidemic of hatred towards Samuel Eto'o by many fans in the North African country.
