Chelsea fans cry foul as millionaire kidnapper John Lyon is paraded wearing club jersey

The Police Command in Abuja announced the arrest of the kidnap kingpin, John Lyon a.k.a IK- Kpai-kpai in Abuja late last week.

The Bayelsa indigene who is popularly called "Lyon" is known to flaunt money on social media while encouraging his followers to hustle.

A trendy video of him confessing to his crimes hit social media and has generated conversation on several platforms.

The reports suggested that he was traced from Bayelsa to Abuja where he was picked up.

During his capture, Lyon, 30, a native of Eruan community in Boki LGA of Cross River State, also spoke on his role in kidnapping another victim identified as Hakeem.

“I didn’t play any role in Hakeem’s kidnap, I just showed them his house. We were driving and I pointed to the house. It was my former boss’s house, that was it,” he said.

According to Vanguard.ng, he is responsible for high-profile kidnappings in Bayelsa State. He was paraded alongside three members of his gang by the police at the Police Officers Mess, Yenagoa Bayelsa State.

Social media have reacted to images of him wearing a Chelsea jersey during his parade.

The police confirmed that his real name is John Ewa.
