Iwobi to win 60 Super Eagles caps against Algeria

Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi is set for his 60th Super Eagles appearance against Algeria later today, September 27.

The Everton midfielder has so far played 59 matches in the shirt of the Super Eagles since pledging his national allegiance to Nigeria in 2015.

The former English youth international made his Super Eagles debut in October 2015 when he came on as a 57th-minute substitute for Ahmed Musa in Nigeria's 2-0 defeat to DR Congo in a friendly.

The in-form Everton star has scored 10 goals for his country in 59 matches.

Iwobi was on target when Nigeria played a 2-2 draw against Algeria's B side in a test game on Friday, September 23.

The Super Eagles will take on the Desert Foxes at the Oran Olympic Stadium in Belgaïd, Algeria.

Kick-off is at 8:00 pm.
