Sunshine players protest over unpaid salaries

Players of Akure Sunshine Stars took to the street on Tuesday morning to protest non-payment of their three months salaries and allowances.

The players said they have not been paid since the start of the 2020/2021 NPFL season.

Some fans have blamed the team's poor season on the lack of payment of salaries. The Sunshine stars are yet to win any of the 11 matches played this season.
