We want to finish AFCON qualifiers with a win - Rohr

Technical Director of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr said his team is ready to finish the 2021 AFCON qualifiers on a winning note despite already qualifying for the tournament in Cameroon.

The three-time African champions host the Crocodiles of Lesotho at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos in their final game.

This follows the well-deserved victory against the Benin Republic in Porto Novo where it finished top of Group L with 11 points.

The gaffer insists his side will go all out for a win against the Crocodiles despite the inconsequential nature of the game, Completes Sports said.

“We hope to finish well these qualifiers, which we began since June 2017, we did not lose a qualifier and so we want to finish with a good victory,”the former Bordeaux coach told reporters.

“We won’t underrate Lesotho because they have a good defence, they made some draws in this competition and they don’t have anything to lose.”
