Super Eagles stand-in captain William Troost-Ekong has quit the team’s training camp in Vienna, Austria, so as to have further checks on the injury that has ruled him out of tomorrow’s rematch against Cameroon.

Eagles spokesman announced Ekong’s departure, while also disclosing that Ujpest FC of Hungary midfielder Vincent Onovo has joined up with the squad in Austria.

Nigeria will take on the Indomitable Lions in a second friendly tomorrow night after Cameroon won the first clash 1-0 Friday night.

Both teams are using the matches to prepare for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, which resume in September.

Nigeria welcome Liberia to Lagos, before a tricky trip to Cape Verde in September as the qualification race for Qatar 2022 gathers steam.
