Quadri moves two places up in new ITTF ranking

Nigeria's Table Tennis star, Aruna Quadri has moved up in the latest International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) ranking released on Tuesday, April 4.

The latest ranking saw a complete shakeup in the world standings following the expiration of the ranking points for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Quadri moved two places up from 13th to 11th position according to the new release by the governing body for table tennis.

The 33-year-old also maintained his status as Africa's number one.

Also, Portuguese-based Nigeria tennis star, Taiwo Matip also moved to the top 100 in the new ranking to occupy the 96th position.

The former national junior champion is now the second-ranked Nigerian behind Quadri.
