Victor Osimhen is expected to captain the Super Eagles in the crucial clash against Morocco in the semi-final of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
Eric Chelle's side will take on the hosts at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, Rabat, on Wednesday, January 14.
With skipper Wilfred Ndidi suspended for the encounter, the Galatasaray striker is expected to wear the captain's armband against the Atlas Lions.
Ndidi was initially booked during the Super Eagles’ 4-0 thrashing of Mozambique in the round of 16.
The Trabzonspor midfielder received his second booking in their impressive 2-0 triumph over Algeria in the quarterfinal.
It will be only the second time the former African Footballer of the Year will lead the Super Eagles.
Osimhen captained Nigeria during their final group-stage encounter against Uganda.
