'Lookman is more technical than Osimhen' — Jose Peseiro's shocking statement after Napoli, Atalanta clash

Super Eagles Head Coach Jose Peseiro believes Ademola Lookman is more technically gifted than Victor Osimhen.

As reported earlier, the Super Eagles boss was in Italy to watch Napoli's clash with Atalanta in Serie A on Saturday, March 11.

League leaders, Napoli bounced back to winning ways after securing a 2-0 victory at home over Atalanta courtesy of goals from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Amir Rrahmani.

Sharing his thoughts on the game, the Portuguese tactician, Peseiro who watched the game live at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium said:

“Ademola (Lookman) is more technical than Osimhen, more inclined to create chances and he is now also scoring, the Portuguese gaffer said.

“He’s doing really well this year. He grew up with Gasperini and now he’s always playing well and we’re happy with him.

“He too can aspire to do great things.

The former Sporting Lisbon manager also attributed the Super Eagles duo's remarkable form this season to their team's playing style.

“It is no coincidence that they have both grown like this year. This is because they are both within a good game system.

“Atalanta and Napoli want the ball, they want to play and attack. In these conditions, players like this are exalted. Italian football has changed a lot in recent years.”

Osimhen (19) and Lookman (12) combined have managed 31 Serie A goals this season.
