Fulham keen on €24m permanent Chukwueze deal

Fulham have informed AC Milan of their intention to pay €24m to sign Samuel Chukwueze on a permanent basis.

The move, if completed, would represent a financial boost for the Italian side, with Chukwueze not currently in the plans of Massimiliano Allegri, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

However, no agreement has yet been finalised between both clubs.

“In recent weeks, Fulham have informed Milan of their intention to pay the €24 million to buy him permanently,” La Gazzetta dello Sport reported.

“This would be pure gold for the Rossoneri’s coffers, considering that Chukwueze is not in Allegri’s plans but at the moment, nothing has been finalised yet.”

Chukwueze secured his place in the Fulham side in December when he scored a brace against Manchester City in a dramatic 5-4 match in which Pep Guardiola’s team emerged victorious.

“In Serie A I did not have the opportunities I would have liked,” the Nigeria international said at the start of the year.

Since then, the Premier League has provided an opportunity that the former Villarreal winger has taken full advantage of.

He joined Fulham on loan after seeking more playing time and has since become a useful attacking option under Marco Silva, contributing goals and assists in the final third, although he has not always been a regular starter.

Across 17 Premier League appearances, Chukwueze has scored three goals and provided four assists.

However, his fitness record remains a concern, with the 25-year-old missing five matches across league and cup competitions due to calf problems and making only seven starts so far. Fulham are expected to take that into consideration before completing any permanent move.

Chukwueze remains under contract at AC Milan until the end of the 2027-28 season.
