The Abia State Police Command has uncovered 28 human skulls and bones following a raid on suspected criminal camps located in the forests at Umuaku, Isuochi, as well as another camp at Nneato, Isuochi.

In a statement, the police said the skulls and bones are suspected to be remains of kidnap victims

The raid was carried out under Operation No Hideout for Criminal Elements in the State, which aims to rid Abia of criminal elements.

The police stated that the investigation and monitoring of the area are ongoing, adding that efforts are being intensified to apprehend the fleeing suspects.

The Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, reiterated the command’s commitment to ensuring that Abia remains a no-hiding place for criminals and their activities. He encouraged Abians, as partners in crime prevention, to collaborate with the police by reporting any security concerns to the nearest Police Station.
