A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Joe Igbokwe, has said Igbo, Hausa and Fulani have become the problem of Nigeria.

According to him, they lack the emotional intelligence possessed by the Yoruba ethnic group in Nigeria.

Igbokwe wrote on Facebook, "We have 3 major ethnic groups in Nigeria: Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa Fulani. Igbo and Hausa Fulani have become the problem of Nigeria. They do not have the cultural competence and emotional intelligence that the Yoruba Nation has. May God help."

He added, "What happened in the South East during the Civil War from 1966 to 1970 and the killings of our people in thousands and burning of homes from 2015 till date all in the name of Biafra agitation, tells a big story of who we are. It is despicable, unbelievable, shameful, disgusting, disgraceful, etc. It has been a tragic adventure."

Reacting, one Abiodun Mabayomije Adenuga wrote, "Ignorance is more prevalent among those two tribes if you check statistically relative to their entire populations and whoever genuinely craves to see a better Nigeria must demand that government should make serious and deliberate meaningful reforms to ensure quality basic education is made compulsory for all citizens.
No society populated mostly by ignorant people can ever achieve or enjoy sustainable peace"

Okoeki Oziegbe said, "Point of correction, there is no tribe like Hausa-Fulani in Nigeria, it is a mis-normal. Hausa is a different tribe from Fulani. Hausa-Fulani is a fraudulent political creation engineered by the colonial Masters and the Fulanis, to give the Fulanis political advantage over others, by capitalising on the majority Hausa tribe. Fulani is a minority tribe in the North, while Hausa is a majority tribe in the North. Now, the Hausas know better and they are speaking out. It is only the Fulanis that have benefited and keep benefitting from the fraud, while they used it to suppress the Hausas."
