Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has touched down in Madrid ahead of a proposed transfer to Spanish giants Atletico Madrid.

Atleti have reached an agreement with Atalanta over a possible move for the 28-year-old.

The former African Footballer of the Year has been given the green light to travel to Spain for his medicals with the club.

The Spanish giants confirmed Lookman’s arrival in a post on social media.

“Agreement with Atalanta over the transfer of Ademola Lookman.

“The Nigerian forward is already in Madrid. The agreement is subject to passing his medical and formalising his contract,” Atletico Madrid wrote on X.

According to reports, the deal is valued in the region of €40 million.

Lookman joined Atalanta in the summer of 2022 from RB Leipzig.
