Presidential spokesperson Daniel Bwala has described Arise TV show host Rufai Oseni as an adult toddler and challenged him to a debate on neutral ground.
This was after Oseni alleged that Bwala visited Arise TV for an interview when he wasn't around, implying that the presidential spokesperson was avoiding a confrontation with him.
According to Bwala, Oseni's absence during his visit to Arise TV must have been due to a suspension he was handed by the television station.
He wrote on X, "My attention was drawn to a jibe by an adult toddler, @ruffydfire, saying I went to their station when he was not around. First of all, I want to congratulate you for showing off a meta glass you bought or DEM dash you during your break or alleged suspension.
"Secondly, I was in Lagos for a media tour with all TV stations and other platforms. During this period, you have been in Lagos (maybe your alleged suspension included prohibition from traveling out of Lagos), and your producer could have recalled you from alleged suspension to attend my interview.
"Thirdly, to suggest that you could have done something better is actually an insult, not to me, but to @abati1990, who is better and more experienced than you. As for the clown @ayomairoese, she had the time but couldn’t do anything because I shut down her fake news narrative.
"But here is a challenge to you, Rufai: you have a studio in Abuja, fly in, and let’s borrow Prime Time from Charles and do the interview, man to man. I challenge the chairman to make that happen. I am waiting, fast, fast, fast!"
Reacting, Oseni slammed Bwala, describing him as a "government official who thrives on lies."
"Dear Bwala, provide details of my alleged suspension. If you don’t provide my suspension letter. Then you should never be taken seriously! Bwala, if you can’t provide my suspension letter to corroborate your lies then I will never take you seriously again. Nigerians ask Bwala to show me my suspension letter! As usual, you will be asking for water when the interview starts! No bathroom breaks ooo!"
He added, "If Bwala can’t provide my suspension letter. Then it will be on record that a government spokesperson is lying and that’s an indictment. Bwala, I have wearing meta glasses for years, if you want I can buy one for you. As my meta glasses dey pain you. Apparently, Bwala wants attention so much that he sent his tweet to my colleague so she could use it on what’s trending. Bwala needs his name to be mentioned so bad in public. A govt spokesperson that needs attention so much."
In response, Bwala said a single backhand slap he gave Oseni has put the TV show host in a situation where he's making several social media posts about him.
Bwala wrote, "One back-hand slap, he is crying like an adult toddler that he is. He has made over 10 tweets on me and still counting. You brag about your prowess, okay respond to the popular demand to fly into Abuja for the man-to-man interview. In short add Ayo and the two of you should come, no holds bar. Until you can answer the call, I don’t have your time. Animal husbandry abi na animal horticulture."
