The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced Tuesday, December 16, as the new date for the Super Eagles' pre-AFCON friendly against the Pharaohs of Egypt.

The high-profile friendly was initially scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 14.

The change in date for the game was informed by FIFA's rule requiring clubs to release their players for the AFCON by December 15.

The game will form part of both teams' preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which kicks off on December 21.

The match will be held at the Cairo International Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 8:00 pm Nigerian time.
