Inter Miami forward, Lionel Messi has named Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola as the greatest football manager in the world.
The Argentina captain labelled Guardiola as unique, adding that he changed the way football was played in Germany and England.
Messi played under the Spaniard during their time together at Barcelona.
Both men won several trophies, including the UEFA Champions League and the LaLiga title at Camp Nou.
“He [Guardiola] went to other places and continued winning. It’s not just because of winning but the way his teams played,” Messi said as per ESPN FC.
“He did at Bayern, although he could not win the Champions League, changed the way the game was played in Germany, the same in England with Man City.
“Pep Guardiola is unique. There are extraordinarily good managers, but he has something different. For me, he is the greatest of all managers.”
