Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has congratulated Team Brazil, consisting of Timmy Hansen and Leva Millere-Hagin, for a well-deserved victory after an exciting weekend of racing on Lagos waters at the E1 Lagos GP.

Sanwo-Olu stated that beyond the competition, the E1 Lagos GP represented our city’s commitment to innovation, clean energy, and sustainable development.

The governor stated that it was inspiring to see Lagos take its place on the global stage as a city that embraces progress and possibility.

"I am proud of what we achieved this weekend and even more confident about the future we are building for Lagos," he said.

Lagos is the first city in Africa to host E1.
