Sudan head coach Kwasi Appiah has admitted he didn’t expect his team to dominate Nigeria the way they did in their African Nations Championship (CHAN) clash on Tuesday, August 12.
Sudan handed Super Eagles B a crushing 4-0 defeat in their second group match of the tournament.
A brace from Abdel Raouf, a goal from Walieldin Khedr, and an own goal by Leonard Ngenge sealed a remarkable victory for Appiah’s side.
Speaking in his post-match reaction, Appiah who previously had two stints as head coach of Ghana’s Black Stars said the scoreline surprised him.
“I wasn’t expecting that scoreline.
I knew we could beat Nigeria, but not by that scoreline (4-0).”
Sudan will face Senegal in their final group game next week.
