Billionaire Femi Otedola has said the economic powerhouse on the Atlantic coast in Lagos State was envisioned by President Bola Tinubu decades ago.
The Atlantic coast is witnessing tremendous development, with the Lekki Deep Sea Port, Dangote, Lekki Free Trade Zone, Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, amongst others springing up.
According to Otedola, the development were the brainchild of Tinubu when he was the governor of Lagos State.
Otedola said this when he accompanied the President to commission some projects in the Lekki area on Thursday.
He shared on X, "Today, I witnessed history.
"President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, our visionary leader, visited the $20 billion Dangote Refinery and Petrochemical Plant, the single largest single-train refinery in the world — an eighth wonder of the modern era, built by my dear friend and brother, Aliko Dangote.
"The President also commissioned a series of newly completed road projects.
"Over two decades ago, as Governor of Lagos State, President Tinubu envisioned an economic powerhouse on the Atlantic coast what we now know as the Lekki Free Trade Zone. Today, that vision stands tall in steel, concrete, and ambition."
"A great leader takes people where they don’t necessarily want to go, but ought to be," adding, "That is the essence of President Tinubu."
He further stated, "Nigeria is rising and those of us who believe in her will continue to support the bold reforms that will make her the greatest transformation story of the 21st century."
