President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration has reaffirmed its commitment to worker welfare and institutional compassion with the approval of the 2025/2026 Group Life Assurance Scheme for federal public servants and top government officials including himself and the Vice President.
The Federal Executive Council’s decision, chaired by Mr. President, covers civil servants in Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), as well as personnel in the military and paramilitary. By appointing 17 insurance firms to administer this life policy, the administration ensures that in the unfortunate event of a worker’s passing, their families are not left without support.
This is more than a financial safeguard. It is a humane and forward-looking policy that recognises the sacrifices of public servants. The Renewed Hope Agenda continues to elevate dignity, stability, and security for Nigeria’s workforce.
