The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) Peter Obi has on Saturday, March 18, expressed sympathy for the victims of the recent gubernatorial elections' violence.
Obi who described the occurrence as a "precarious circumstance" added that he was heartbroken that a conflict with such intensity will erupt in what seemed a "simple election".
He commiserated with the families whose loved ones' lives had been taken and hoped that those who were injured recover quickly.
The presidential candidate also prayed that the Almighty would assist and deliver Nigeria from its current predicament.
Many found comfort and assurance in Obi's words as they hailed him.
