Not many people knew of the exploits of famous investigative journalist, Kola Olawuyi who died in 2007 at the age of 44.

The man with a huge following in the southwest with his Iriri Aye radio program spoke about and uncovered what many spoke less off due to fear.

He was the journalist who uncovered the murder of Ann Uzoh, a member of Reverend King's church who was killed by the popular pastor.

At the time, Chukwuemeka Ezeugo also known as Reverend King was a revered pastor in Nigeria.

According to the Twitter thread by the handle @Yorubaness, Reverend King set Uzoh ablaze in her residence because he caught her in the act of fornication.

King is also known to physically assault church members who misbehave.

Upon breaking the story of Uzoh and revealing more details, King was arrested and arraigned in court on September 26, 2006. King pleaded not guilty to the crime as he believed that what he did was just a way to stop disobedience among his members.

King, who was sentenced to death was the general overseer and also the Senior Pastor of the Christian Praying Assembly.

King is a native of Achina Community, Aguata Local Government area, Anambra State.

What was said about Kola Olawuyi

He was described as one who was fearless and courageous. Patrons who listened to him feared for his life and it wasn't a surprise when he died.

"Oh, they got him finally," patrons said when he was killed.

His life was a mystery according to the tweet. Even though he was a member of the Redeemed Church, the number of occult cases and ritual killers he took on and exposed, made people believe he was occult.

Many remember him for the popular saying: "Aa ma be obe nii besu, atelese a bena wo. Eni ba ni a ma bo nikan lawa o ni de ba nle"

(loosely translated: we'll always go out to work. It's those that don't want us to return that we won't meet when we return).
