Report indicates that the Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike and his cronies from the Integrity Group will make an appearance in Ibadan, on Thursday, January 5.

This move by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) G-5 is to flag off the re-election campaign of Governor Seyi Makinde.

It was gathered that athe G-5 will also use the opportunity to give their stance on the presidential candidates of major parties as the general elections draw near.

This has since brought about mixed feelings in All Progressives Congress and Labour Party respectively as both Bola Tinubu and Peter Obi are said to be possible options for the G-5 as against their party flagbearer, Atiku Abubakar.

According to reports, the G-5 will strengthen their position regarding their complaints with the party’s presidential candidate during the rally.

A source said; “They will give direction of where they are going but may not mention the name of the presidential candidate to avoid being accused of anti-party offence and to protect their different political interests."

The Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde was reportedly absent at the Freedom March press conference for the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, on Tuesday, January 3.

The conference which was held at the state Secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Iyaganku, Ibadan, the Oyo state capital also met the absence of Makinde’s loyalists.
