Nigerian striker Asisat Oshoala ended her UEFA Women's Champions League goal drought after finding the back of the net in Barcelona's 4-1 triumph over Dutch side PSV.

The 26-year-old forward found the back of the net in the 66th minute of their encounter to end her 295 minutes of game time without a goal in the competition

She has scored just twice in the history of the European Championship since her move to the Johan Cryuff outfit in early 2019.

Oshoala's maiden strike in the tourney was their only goal in the final against French League club Lyon at the Groupama Arena, Budapest on May 18, 2019.

Falcons goal poacher scored in the UCL was their 5-0 win over Minsk in the Round of 16 as reported by Goal.

Meanwhile, she was unable to produce any goal against Atletico Madrid and Wolfsburg in the quarterfinal and semifinal of the competition.

She has now found her scoring boot in their recent game against PSV having scored their third goal after Jennifer Hermoso had opened the scoring for the Catalans in the fourth minute.

Mandy van den Berg scored an own goal to double the Spanish team's lead in the extra minutes of the opening half.

Lieke Martens completed the victory with a 75th-minute strike as they cruised to a convincing win in the first leg of their round of 32 encounter.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Nigerian forward Asisat Oshoala continued his impressive display for Barcelona Femeni in the Spanish women's league.

The 26-year-old found the back of the net for the Catalan ladies in the 81st minute in their 9-0 humiliation of Santa Teresa at the Johan Cryuff Stadium.

And this has taken her tally in the Spanish topflight to three goals after seven appearances so far this campaign.
