#NorthernLivesMatter: Nigerians lament incessant attacks by bandits

Nigerians have taken to Twitter with the hashtag #NorthernLivesMatter to draw the attention of the government to the incessant attacks by armed bandits in the North.

Recently, armed bandits struck at Gubio village, Borno State, where they killed tens of people and kidnapped some.

The has forced the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), to order the armed forces to go after the terrorists whose activities are also felt in Katsina and Kaduna States.

In reaction to the attacks, some northerners and other Nigerians took to social media where they lamented the neglect by the government which they believe has made the armed bandits operate freely.
