Yar'Adua's health issues cost taxpayers money; Tinubu provide your medical records - Rufai Oseni blows hot

Nigerian Broadcaster, Oseni Rufai has asked Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu to produce his health records for Nigerians to see and stop showing himself riding on a spinning bike.

Speaking during the Arise Television morning show, he compared the present health crises of Tinubu to that of late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.

According to him, the same way concerns are been raised about Tinubu’s health was the same way concerns were raised about Yar’Adua’s health.

He stated that Yar’Adua denied having ailing health during campaigns until he got to the presidency and cost the tax payers a lot of money.

Rufai said, the last time Yar’Adua was heard of was his interview with the BBC World Service when he claimed to be fine and would be returning to Nigeria.

He said;

“You want to be ready on day one, you want to be seen signing peace pact. You want to be seen leading the line. It is bad optics and it has made a lot of Nigerians scared and we can’t deny that. A video coming out of somebody riding a bike, anybody can ride a spinning bike. I’m not moved by people dancing, or riding a spinning bike. They should release their health records let us see. And Nigerians have a right to know.

You remember the campaign trail leading up to Umaru Yar’adua’s elections. His health was raised. There was a story about his health failing and you remember that famous call “Umaru are you sick? Response: No I’m not sick.” But we remember right after that call, how the health concern of Umaru Musa Yar’adua was raised. But he got into office and caused this nation tax payers a lot of money as regards his health before he finally passed. You remember before he died. I'm not moved by optics of people riding or dancing or anything. I'm moved by the issues. You remember before he died.”
