Two years after the incident, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo once again gave God all the thanksgiving for miraculously saving him and 11 others from dying in a plane crash.

He said the day would have been remembered as a day of sorrow but instead, God turned it to a day of victory.

The VP showed his delight in a Facebook post on Wednesday, February 3.

He wrote: "It would have been remembered as a day of sorrow because of the helicopter crash on February 2, 2019, involving me and 11 others but we thank God it is instead a day of victory and thanksgiving."

Nigerians in their reaction to his post appreciated God on his behalf and prayed for God to grant him splendid years.

In his reaction, Simeon OlaAlikama Dafidi-Oba wrote: "Coming out of such ghastly situation without is a scratch depicts Grace. Blessed be the name of the Lord."

Omatsola Charles Edema on his part admonished him to use the grace of God oh his life to positively effect changes in the lives of Nigerians.

"We thank God for saving you and the others. Use this grace to do His will always and affect Nigerian lives."

Nicholas Oriahi added: "God, will keep you in Jesus name. Even if I have been unemployed four years after graduation, I love you in person and as a pastor. God will not put you to shame."

Ajinomoh Ohinoyi Godwin also said: "Congratulations sir. You were saved that day to make things right in your life and in government. Never trivialise that. Your attitude in recent times is subject to National debate. You can still get it right. Your silence is no longer golden in some salient issues of governance. Long live VP Osinbajo!!!"

Osinbajo and 11 other persons escaped unscathed from the helicopter crash which happened in Kabba, Kogi state.

The management of Caverton helicopters had said unusual weather condition caused the crash.
