Osinbajo applauds Kemi Adeosun, a NYSC certificate forger

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has commended Nigeria's ex-finance minister and NYSC credential forger Kemi Adeosun for her DashMe initiative.

After being caught using a false NYSC exemption certificate to get jobs in Nigeria and a political appointment in President Muhammadu Buhari's regime, Ms Adeosun resigned and fled to the United Kingdom.

Despite the fact that she had committed a crime, President Muhammadu Buhari and the country's security authorities turned a blind eye, and Ms Adeosun escaped to the United Kingdom.

Mr Osinbajo complimented Ms Adeosun for aiding orphans, vulnerable children, and less privileged people at the launch of DashMe Store, an online component of Dashme Foundation, on Sunday, despite her criminal record.

Ms. Adeosun's initiative, the DashMe Foundation, strives to improve the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children, youths, and domestic abuse victims in West Africa by sponsoring indigenous organizations who work with them.

“But most importantly, her belief that all service to man is actually service to God; that we owe the people, particularly the poor and downtrodden, more than simply empathy, but concrete and innovative assistance to enable them to live their best lives.

“This is why, as a minister, she prioritized the social investment program when, for the first time, we dedicated nearly N500 billion of our yearly budget to welfare programs for the poor,” Mr Osinbajo said.

“I am, therefore, not surprised that she has decided to use some of her enormous talent and influence to establish an organization that raises funds and resources for indigenous grassroots charities working with orphaned and vulnerable children, disadvantaged youths, and domestic violence victims,” Mr. Osinbajo continued.

“The DashMe Foundation represents who Kemi Adeosun is in every way."

Ms Adeosun stated that Nigeria has 17.5 million orphaned and vulnerable children, noting that the extended family, which previously supported such children, has been abandoned as a result of urbanization.
