'Tinubu has failed Nigerians' — Lasisi Elenu laments rising insecurity

Popular Nigerian comedian and content creator Lasisi Elenu has openly criticised the administration of President Bola Tinubu over the worsening security situation in the country.

In a statement shared online, Lasisi expressed deep frustration over the continued rise in killings, kidnappings, insurgency, and banditry across Nigeria.

“Tinubu and his government have failed Nigerians. It is sad that criminality has been allowed to thrive in Nigeria without any consequences,” he said.

The comedian lamented that despite advancements in technology and security systems globally, Nigeria is still battling widespread violence in 2026.

“It is heartbreaking that in a country like Nigeria today, killings are happening across the nation. I find it really sad that in 2026, with all the technology at our disposal, insurgency, insecurity, kidnapping, and banditry are still thriving,” he added.

His remarks come amid broader public concern over persistent insecurity and reports showing that violent incidents and kidnappings have remained a major national challenge under the current administration.

Lasisi concluded his message with a call for accountability, questioning the seeming lack of decisive action from the government.

“Make it make sense to me.”
