Social media commentator, Solomon Buchi, has taken a swipe at socialite, Cubana Chiefpriest, following his recent comment on the killings in Plateau.
Buchi described Cubana Chiefpriest's comments as "Very stupid and insensitive" after the Nigerian celebrity barman had stated that the killing in Plateau State was meant to embarrass President Bola Tinubu on his birthday.
In a video he shared on his Instagram page, Buchi questioned the rationale behind the comment.
"Very stupid and insensitive thing to say @cubana_chiefpriest - making the killings more about a planned attack on the president’s birthday. Are you even serious? Focus on low IQ activities like selling alcohol, frolicking around rich people and shouting “money na water”. Absolute nonsense," he said.
Cubana Chief Priest had earlier shared a message expressing sympathy for victims of the violence but suggested that the attack may have been aimed at embarrassing the President.
He also called on security agencies to strengthen efforts to address insecurity while praying for the victims.
The post sparked widespread reactions online, with many users describing the comment as insensitive.
Recall that gunmen attacked a university community in Plateau state on Sunday night, killing at least 30 people, residents and local officials said on Monday, the latest bloodshed in a region scarred by deadly farmer-herder conflicts.
