Social media users weren’t surprised by actress Sarah Martins’ enthusiastic reaction to the release of online critic Martins Otse Vincent, also known as VDM, from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

VDM was reportedly detained after accompanying his mother to a Guaranty Trust Bank branch to file a complaint. The incident took place on Friday, May 2, and he remained in EFCC custody for approximately six days.

Following his release, a wave of support and excitement flooded social media, with many expressing relief and joy. Among them was Sarah Martins, who made headlines for her bold post celebrating VDM’s freedom. Referring to him affectionately as her “husband,” the actress shared her welcome message publicly on her social media account.
