Real Sociedad manager Sergio Francisco has given a fresh update on the future of Nigerian international Umar Sadiq.
The Super Eagles striker is expected to leave the club this summer following his return from a six-month loan deal at Valencia.
The 28-year-old was not included in Real Sociedad's La Liga opener against Valencia on Saturday, August 16.
In a post-match interview, Francisco disclosed that Sadiq is in talks with other clubs but still remains in the club's plans for the future.
“Sadiq is in open talks; there are all kinds of conversations, but that doesn’t mean he’s not in the plans,” the manager was quoted by Eldesmarque.
“I wouldn’t say for sure whether he’s leaving or staying.”
“There are five players who don’t have a number because they have pending negotiations. At the end of the transfer window, we’ll see how we distribute them,” he added.
