The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has acquired 3,000 pairs of solid work boots from the newly built Enyimba Automated Shoe Factory in Aba, Abia state.

The move followed the directive of the federal government for agencies and departments of government to patronise made-in-Nigeria products under executive order 5.

An aide to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia, Sam Hart, shared the news on social media on Tuesday, February 9, 2021.

He wrote:

“The Enyimba Automated Shoe Factory, Aba has made her first delivery for the year 2021 after it successfully produced and delivered 3,000 pairs of solid work boots to the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC).

“Receiving the boots from ENASCO Executive Director Marketing, Adaku Oseiza, Managing Director, Nigerian Railway Corporation, Mr. Fidet Okhiria expressed excitement and satisfaction at the impressive and unique nature of the boots, exclaiming: "This is from Aba?"

“The MD applauded Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for his efforts in promoting #MadeInAba, nay, #MadeInNigeria products and assured of continuous patronage.”
