Netizens kick as Kiddwaya begs Nigerians to donate to victims through his foundation

Former BBNaija reality TV star, Kiddwaya, has been slammed by netizens after he called for donations to his foundation, which he claims will be used to assist communities affected by herdsmen attacks in Benue, his home state.

This was after suspected Fulani herdsmen attacked Yelewata community in Benue State, killing hundreds and displacing thousands.

In a statement on Wednesday, Kiddwaya said, "Our brothers and sisters in Benue are suffering. Communities have been torn apart by violent attacks, leaving families displaced, hungry, and grieving.

"This is not just a Benue crisis, it's a Nigerian crisis. And now more than ever, we need to come together as one people."

He said Kiddwaya Foundation is mobilising resources to provide food, shelter, and essential support to those affected.

"But we can't do it alone, we need your help," the reality TV star added.

"Whether it's #500 or N500,000, every naira counts. Whether it's your platform, your voice, or your time, every effort matters.
Donate. Share, get involved.

"Let's remind the world that Nigerians don't abandon their own in times of need. Together, we can bring hope to Benue," he said.

However, his plea was met with anger from netizens who expressed the belief that the foundation might be a fraudulent way to scam unsuspecting Nigerians.

One X user, @kelly_bankk, said, "Bruh God go puniish you forever," while @comerade01 said, "This one done open business on top benue people head everything is a joke in this country."

@UpperMissionSt said, "Lmao... you gave a food vendor $20k but could not do charity alone without the public. $20k is around #20M or more; that would do lots there. Let people see what you got to offer rather than enriching urself with public money and throwing it on their face again."

@UnlimitedChuks said, "Your family should sell one of their mansions and send something for the people of Benue state, your own ppl, if I'm right, abi you want to cash in too using this bitter event."

@Sodiq03495 said, "With all the wealth you flaunt online, and to help common people in Benue, your own town, who are victims of tragedy. You still need donations!!! God abeg oooo."

@zonnaltd said, "This is how they make their money: Drop billing formats, make a lot of money from the donations, then give peanuts to the people in need with a Camera, then start trolling Nigerians while in a private jet."
