Moffi fires blank on his return from international break

Lorient striker Terem Moffi fired blank on his return from the international break as his side won by 2-1 win at home to Lille Metropole in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday, October 2.

The 23-year-old striker who scored Nigeria's only goal during the international break was kept at bay by a resolute Lille defence as he only managed a shot on target.

The Nigerian international was substituted in the 86th minute by Lorient manager Regis Le Bris, a decision which paid off as his replacement, Theo Le Bris scored the winner in the 87th minute.

Prior to Sunday's encounter, Moffi had scored 6 times in 8 Ligue 1 league outings.

The win moves Lorient to third place on the Ligue 1 standings.
