Comedian Ekene Egbuna, popularly known as Klintoncod, has expressed displeasure about the way the Igbo ethnic group is facing animosity from fellow Nigerians.
He made his stance known in response to an outburst against Igbos by social media influencer Abisoye Olukoya Michael, popularly known as Oyemykke.
Oyemykke had complained about the Igbos, stating that they need to look inward to understand why fellow Nigerians, including Kenyans, Ghanaians, South Africans and other countries detest them.
Oyemykke said: "The truth is, you cannot keep crying wolf all the time, you cannot be victims all the time. The people of South Africa can not be complaining about the same things the people of Dubai, Kenya, and now the people of Ghana are complaining about. That means there's something you're doing wrong.
"And if you look carefully, the same things these Ghanaians are crying about is the same things the Yoruba Ronu people were crying about; that you people left your Eastern part, you've come to Lagos and you're saying 'Lagos is a neutral ground, Lagos belongs to everybody'. You people need to be more sensitive.
"While you're very strong and creative, and you have the energy to go, you need to be more sensitive to the energies or the environment in which you go.
"You no fit leave your papa house, come my papa house, come dey tell me say for my papa house you fit overdo me. Even if you can overdo me, don't put it to my face."
Displeased by Oyemykke's claims, Klintoncod wondered why Nigerians are complaining about the same Igbos asking to be free from them.
He shared on X, "Igbos this, Igbos that, let the people go, una no gree, give them a fair portion of leadership in our “one Nigeria”, una still no gree, let them have a port in their region so they can stay in their zone, una no gree, what do you want from the Igbos for Christ sake."
