Kelechi Iheanacho has admitted he still cannot explain how he coped with the pressure of taking a stoppage-time penalty in Celtic’s dramatic 3-2 win over Motherwell.

Iheanacho sparked wild celebrations among the travelling supporters after calmly converting the decisive penalty.

The crucial goal means Saturday’s home clash against league leaders Hearts will now determine the destination of the Scottish title.

“To be fair, I don’t have words and I don’t know how I did that, but we’ve done it,” Iheanacho told Sky Sports after his late match winner.

“I think first of all I just remember that I’ve thought this type of thing before and I just kept my cool and brave.

“It’s scary to be fair but I don’t know what I was thinking.

“Thank God we got the win so we’re happy.”
