Valencia head coach Carlos Corberán has commended Umar Sadiq for his impact on the team’s impressive run since joining the club.
The Nigeria international joined Los Che on a permanent transfer from Real Sociedad in January.
Sadiq came off the bench to net the decisive goal as Valencia secured victory over Athletic Bilbao last weekend.
The 29-year-old Sadiq has so far registered four goals since his arrival at the Mestalla.
Valencia are four points clear of the relegation zone with three rounds of matches to the end of the regular season.
“Sadiq is an exceptional boy, a player in whom a sense of humor is part of his personality. I don’t want to change it, nor am I going to change it, nor do I intend to change it,” Corberán was quoted by futbolfantasy.
“He’s here at the club because we really liked what he gave us last year. He offers the team very good options, so we’re happy with that.”
