An audio has surfaced in which the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, said he can decide who lives or dies.

Kanu also stated that he can play the role of God, describing himself as a very powerful man with millions under his command.

The audio must have been an excerpt of his numerous broadcasts on his pirate radio station, Radio Biafra.

He said, "As the leader of IPOB, I'm a very powerful man. I know that very well. I can decide who lives or who dies. I can decide to play God if I want to.

"I have over two million men under my command. I can destroy anywhere I want to have destroyed."

Kanu is currently in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) and is being tried for terrorism and treasonable felony.

The Federal Government has closed its case before a Federal High Court in Abuja, and Kanu has been ordered to open his defence after his no-case submission was dismissed by the court.

Meanwhile, there are efforts to stage a protest on October 20 to demand his release.
