Former presidential aide Reno Omokri has questioned the silence of ex-presidential candidate Peter Obi and ex-minister of education Oby Ezekwesili concerning the demolition of the car showroom of Ola of Lagos.
MyNigeria reported that the showroom was demolished in the Lekki area of Lagos by the state government to enable a safer environment.
Since the demolition took place, no outcry has been raised by Ola of Lagos and his Yoruba people. MyNigeria reported that Lekki Automobile Dealers also welcomed the development, highlighting that the state government duly notified them.
Reacting, Omokri revealed that if the demolition had affected someone from Obi and Ezekwesili's ethnicity, their voices would have been loud.
He shared on X, "Do you now see that the Lagos State Government does not ethnicise demolitions, as Peter Obi and Oby Ezekwesili made you believe?
"Have you noticed how they have both gone silent now that Ola of Lagos' car dealership has been demolished? Do you now see that these tribalistic people do not mean well for Nigeria?
"If it happens to their kith and kin, they shout. When it occurs to others, they are silent!
"This is in line with Obi's tribalistic character. That is Peter Obi's regular trademark. If it happens in Igboland, Obi will suddenly become deaf, dumb, and blind. But Peter Obi will dance naked in public if it occurs in the North or Southwest."
