A popular Spain-based Nigerian couple has heaped praises on award-winning singer Davido for his global influence.

The couple, known as the Mallet family, explained why the singer is the biggest and most successful Nigerian export, insisting he cannot be compared to his rivals, Wizkid and Burna Boy.

They made the claim in a post shared by popular blogger Tunde Ednut.

According to them, Davido’s music enjoys heavy airplay in two of Spain’s biggest cities, Barcelona and Madrid.

"One thing surprised me: Davido is the biggest in Africa. Do you know why I say so? Because even in Marbella, everyone is playing Davido’s music, even their radio stations. If you go to Barcelona, it’s Davido’s music. If you come to Madrid, it’s Davido’s music. Even in the Santiago Bernabéu, it’s Davido’s music. Why I am doing this video is to say that Davido is big," excerpts of the post read.
