The Super Eagles of Nigeria The Super Eagles of Nigeria

The technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has recommended an expatriate should succeed José Peseiro as the new coach of the Super Eagles.

A reliable source who spoke to the Daily Post says the NFF has indicated their preference for a foreign coach and has informed the executive committee of the association.

The names of Peseiro's likely successors were also forwarded to the executive committee.

The recommendation was, however, was based on the condition that the NFF can afford to pay any of the foreign coaches.

Recall, last week, MyNigeria reported that Domenec Torrent, a former assistant to Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola and erstwhile Indomitable Lions of Cameroon head coach, Antonio Conceicao are the two top expatriates gunning for the job.

The technical committee also gave the executive board the option to hire an indigenous coach if there is no fund to pay an expatriate.
