Thomas Tuchel has made a bold prediction on a potential scorer during Bayern Munich’s Champions League semi-final first leg against Real Madrid.

The Bayern boss is almost certain his star winger, Serge Gnabry, will find the net against Los Blancos.

Gnabry has not featured for his team since April 9, when he came up against his former side Arsenal in the first leg of the competition. He scored the equalizer in that game, but a hamstring injury has kept him out of action for nearly two weeks.

The German attacker is, however, expected to be back for Tuesday’s clash against Real Madrid, and Tuchel is hopeful Gnabry will find the back of the net.

With Kingsley Coman sidelined for the remainder of the season, Gnabry’s return to training will be a welcome sight for Tuchel.

Speaking on the former Arsenal man, Tuchel said, per Football Espana "I don't know why. But I know that Gnabry is going to score a sure goal".

The former Chelsea boss did not explain why he was so confident in Gnabry but simply insisted the winger would have a considerable impact in the semi-final.

The outgoing Bayern boss also spoke about the rest of the game, admitting his side also needed a slice of luck against the most successful club in Champions League history.

He added, “It takes a mix of luck, moments and quality to eliminate a team of the stature of Real Madrid. And if luck has to be challenged, we will challenge it.”

Real Madrid team news

Regarding the Real Madrid squad, Carlo Ancelotti received a major boost after Rodrygo and Ferland Mendy recovered from illness and fatigue respectively.

That leaves just Thibaut Courtois and David Alaba as the only players still in the Bernabeu treatment room.

The biggest boost for the Spanish giants will come in the form of Jude Bellingham, who was rested against Real Sociedad due to a bug. The Englishman, who is Real Madrid’s top scorer this season, is expected to return against Bayern, according to Sportsmole.
