Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi has showered praise on Arsenal's Bukayo Saka and has revealed why the English international of Nigerian descent will not make this year's Ballon d'Or list.
In his latest chat with Inside Scoop, Iwobi hailed the 23-year-old for his remarkable campaign with the Gunners this season.
Iwobi and Saka were teammates at Emirates Stadium before the Nigerian international was sold to Everton in 2019.
Iwobi believes Saka could have been in contention for the 2025 Ballon d'Or award if not for an injury that sidelined him for several weeks.
"I think that’s really what affected him," Iwobi said.
"I think if he didn’t get injured, he’d potentially be a Ballon d’Or nominee. I think the sky is the limit, man. He’s too cold."
